If it was not for UOP, I would not be able to attend school. UOP made it easy for me to go to school and allow me to work. UOP is expensive but the education and achievement is worth it.
I qualified for the Next Level Grant ($2500) in addition with my federal financial aid. This is nice, but it only allowed me to take 29 days off before starting my Bachelors Program in Business Management otherwise I would loose the Grant.
Some people ask me if it is easier or harder than a regular college? My answer is I find it harder sometimes. We have an exceptional amount of reading and coursework to complete each week.
My only fear is that businesses will not accept my education because it is an online school. My answer to them is, well they have physical campuses in every state; but my situation needed freedom in learning. That, and with UOP highly recognized now through great marketing, I believe I will succeed. My advise to future students, is do what is write for your situation.

I had a good experience earning a degree from University of Phoenix Online. Working full time the availability of flexible scheduling, continuous enrollment, online classes, online library, ebooks and computer simulations allowed me to achieve my goals at my pace.
I was able to communicate with fellow students and faculty in real time using online chat features and virtual classrooms. I would rate University of Phoenix as the best in the business. My new degree has provided me with the skill set and the confidence to achieve my career goals.

This is the best way to get a degree. It was intense and I learned a lot since I was "in school" when I was ready to "go to school". Each course was completed in 6 weeks. You only take 1 class at a time.
I took classes ranging from Accounting, Law, and many technology classes. You have to cover a lot of information in a short amount of time. Papers were due each week in collaboration with other classmates. There were also individual assignments that were due each week. You were responsible for reading the material in a timely manner.
The only learning tools that were needed were a computer, some Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel), Adobe. An internet connection and the desire to learn. Occasionally you had to buy a textbook, but most texts were online. Most of the work was done in teams, so classmate interaction was important. Sometimes you had to pick up the slack for other teammates, but that was not often. The professor interactions were usually very good.
Assignments were always relevant. I would never take a land class again. Online college is so convenient. I was raising a family and working full time when I got my degree. I recommend online college learning all the time. It didn't prepare me for a new career, but it gave me a more advanced education in my current field.

Overall, the University of Phoenix experience was a good one. The coursework was rigorous and challenging, but it made for a positive learning experience as a whole. The online tools were helpful in completing assignments and projects, as well as communicating with teachers and students when necessary. The overall experience proved that it is possible to receive a good education through an online degree program.

I would consider checking around. The University of Phoenix is very expensive and during my undergrad courses with one year left, I was told that I maxed out on my financial aid and I had to come up with 2,000 in three weeks so that I could pay for my next class by myself. I wasn't given any time to prepare for the financial burdon of this and I didn't even know you could max out. I don't feel this part of the school is concerned with the students, just getting new business. So, here I am searching for a new school that is less expensive so I can finish my degree plan.

I went to the University of Phoenix to get an associates in Business. I took the accelerated courses, which meant five weeks for each course. The assignments were fairly easy, but there was much reading and writing that I had to do for each class. I had to make sure that I logged into the classes everyday! The class was comprised of instructor's instruction, individual coursework, and group projects.
I had good classmate interactions, but sometimes professors did not provide feedback in a prompt manner. I communicated with professors and classmates through forums and e-mail. We were able to upload our documents onto the forums. The textbooks and journal articles were easily accessible through the University's website. When the course was over, though, the online textbook was no longer accessible. Students were also able to receive assistance through a tool that proofread student's papers and provided instant feedback. Since I am a working professional, I would attend University of Phoenix again.
