Overview
Established in 1998, The Soma Institute offers massage therapy training to students who are interested in clinical massage and wellness careers in spas, medical facilities, hospitals, and professional sports teams. The Soma campus is conveniently located in Chicago, Illinois.
Student Appeal
Instructors encourage individual learning and hands-on experience to help students master a variety of therapeutic techniques. Business and marketing education is taught in conjunction with clinical skill training to help students learn to promote themselves and build a strong client base. In addition to world-class massage therapy training, students receive career guidance and support through tutoring, counseling, and career placement assistance. Students may also receive lifetime complimentary massages in the on-campus Teaching Clinic. Graduates are prepared to pursue local, state, and federal licensing in massage therapy.
Financial
Financial assistance is provided in the form of tuition payment plans and private training loans. Federal and state grants, loans, and work-study awards are available for qualified students. Financial Aid Officers are on hand to answer any financial questions. The Soma Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training.
