Sports/Athletic Training Degree Online
Sports/Athletic Trainers work with athletes under the supervision of physicians to help prevent and treat sports injuries. The Sports/Athletic Trainer is a very important member of a sports medicine team of healthcare professionals. They work with orthopedists, physical therapists, dieticians and many other trained individuals. Students wishing to pursue careers in this field must train to be Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC). Becoming an ATC requires at least a Bachelor Degree, usually in Athletic Training. However, the majority of athletic trainers hold advanced degrees of some sort. Some students go on to pursue advanced degrees in exercise physiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or recreational therapy. (More about Sports/Athletic Training)
