Overview
Southwestern College offers career-training education to prepare successful professionals for the fields of health care, technology, business, and criminal justice. Each program is specifically designed to help students obtain entry-level positions. There are five campuses of Southwestern College located throughout Ohio and Kentucky.

Student Appeal
Students learn through a combination of hands-on methods and fundamental theory. Instructors provide guidance and career advice along with skill training. The ultimate goal for faculty and staff is to prepare each student to become a graduate and successful employee in the career of their choice. Student services include tutoring, library resources, and well-equipped labs and classrooms. Career placement assistance is actively promoted and maintained to help students prepare, interview, and be accepted by an industry leader. Refresher courses are free to alumni who wish to polish their skills.

Financial
All programs and campuses are accredited by the Accrediting Council of Independent College and Schools. With this accreditation, students at Southwestern Colleges are able to apply for federal financial aid.

Program Areas Offered:

  • Business AdministrationBusiness Administration
    An Associate in Business Administration teaches students about business concepts while focusing on decision making, interpersonal communication, and business technology. Graduates are prepared to assume managerial roles or corporate training.
  • Criminal JusticeCriminal Justice
    Students interested in law enforcement, security, loss prevention, customs inspection, or other related justice field are prepared through professional training and core fundamental knowledge.
  • Massage TherapyMassage Therapy
    Massage Therapy is a rapidly growing career field that can be incorporated in virtually any professional environment as a legitimate therapeutic healthcare career. Students learn a variety of techniques and methodologies to successfully work in spas, cruise ships, offices, healthcare facilities, or private practices.
  • Medical Administration/Coding and BillingMedical Administration/Coding and Billing
    Diploma training enables students to develop a foundational understanding of medical administration to find a career in a doctor's office, hospital, clinic, insurance company, or other medical office.
  • Medical AssistingMedical Assisting
    Students earn a diploma and are prepared to work under the supervision of a physician for patient care and medical administration in a doctor's office, hospital, or medical lab.
  • Network Communications and Information SystemsNetwork Communications and Information Systems
    Hands-on training in information technology provides students with the experience to succeed in the industry. Specializations include Security, Microsoft Systems, Specialized Support, and Linux Operating Systems.
  • PhlebotomyPhlebotomy
    A Certificate in Phlebotomy allows students to perform blood tests, take vitals, prepare patients, administer CPR and first aid, and execute medical office procedures in a hospital lab, clinic, blood bank, or plasma center.
