This industry promises to grow more competitive in the coming years and there are a few things you can do in addition to getting your basic education that will help you stand out from the crowd. Here are some tips:

• Get More Education - If you only have an associate's or a bachelor's degree, go for the next step.
• Get Certified - If you specialize in a certain programming language, chances are you can get certified in that language. Getting certified shows employers that you really know what you're doing, and employers will almost always choose a certified job candidate over a non-certified one.
