Overview
Potomac College Online offers Associate of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in popular fields. Courses are geared towards working adults, as schedules are flexible and emphasis is placed on practicality and usability of information. Students are able to take courses entirely online. A wide variety of programs are offered in areas including Accounting, Information Systems, International Business and Management.

Student Appeal
At Potomac College, students have great flexibility with when and where they can take their classes. Students who choose to take classes on campus can take classes on Saturdays, or two evenings a week, and six credits can be earned every six weeks. Or, students can choose to take some programs online. The school also has an excellent Student Services department which can assist students with everything from ordering textbooks to helping students enroll in the appropriate classes.

Financial
Potomac College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Financial aid is available to those who qualify in the form of loans, financial aid and tuition reimbursement.

      This program allows students to acquire the required skills for analyzing transactions, preparing journal entries, and other duties related to accounting. Students will be introduced how to summarize important financial information by interpreting financial statements as well as learn how to help managers make important financial decisions. Graduates of this program are qualified to look for entry-level jobs as a bookkeeper, an accounts receivable clerk, and more.

      Graduates of this program have a lot of flexibility in choosing a career in which computer technology has an important role. Students develop knowledge about information systems, information storage, and the retrieval, manipulation and transmission of information and more. Students will also have the opportunity to study the computer’s impact on business in general.

      The Associate's in International Business gives students the necessary skills and knowledge to apply for entry-level jobs in global firms as well as in private, government and nonprofit organizations.

      This program covers the basics of business management. Students have the chance to develop knowledge and skills about topics including management principles, concepts, and organizational operations.
    • A.S. in Security ManagementA.S. in Security Management
      In this program, students study computer networking and the protocols used to access and move information over both private and public networks. Among the many topics covered in this program are: loss prevention, putting into effect a complete security program and protecting and assessing information. There is also a computer forensics component to the program.

      This program is intended for students are interested in careers in government contracting. Students learn about the activities of government contract implementation in private companies, city and county governments, and nonprofit organizations.

      Graduates of this program have the necessary skills and knowledge to compete for jobs in global firms as well as for jobs in private, governmental, and nonprofit organizations. This program prepares students for advanced studies in international affairs.

      Students pursuing the B.S. in Management have the advantage of tailoring their specialization to whatever their particular interests are. Students take a variety of theory courses and research projects to provide them with a good background in managerial techniques and processes.
