Ottawa University Online offers a wide range of courses to students and these courses can be completed from anywhere the student has an Internet connection. Students can earn a bachelor degree entirely online in areas including Business Administration, Health Care Management and Psychology. Students can earn a masters degree entirely online in areas including Education, Human Resources and Education.

Student Appeal

  Ottawa University's Business Administration program is very hands-on and helps prepare students to succeed in today's fast-paced businesses. Students take a wide variety of courses on topics including economics, accounting and finance, human resources, management, and law.
• BA Health Care ManagementBA Health Care Management
  The BA in Health Care Management program prepares students to enter the healthcare industry by teaching them to learn how to analyze perspectives, methods and values related to both the delivery and financing of health services. This program was specifically designed for health care professionals who already possess technical/clinical degrees and certifications which can be applied toward the degree.
• BA Human ResourcesBA Human Resources
  The BA in Human Resources prepares students for entry-level careers in Human Resources in a wide variety of companies and organizations. Students take courses to learn about hiring laws and practices, employee insurance and other topics.
• BA Human ServicesBA Human Services
  To complete the BA in Human Resources, students must complete eight required courses on topics including Human Resources Administration, Training and Development and Compensation and Benefits. Students are well-prepared for entry-level positions in Human Resources upon graduation.
• BA Police Science/Law EnforcementBA Police Science/Law Enforcement
  Ottawa University has joined forces with Rio Salado College to create these two programs. Both programs were developed to provide a common body of knowledge gathered from practitioners and experts in the field. Upon graduation, students are prepared for entry-level positions in law enforcement.
• BA PsychologyBA Psychology
  The BA in Psychology can be completed entirely online. Students take coursework which prepares them for entry-level work in the field. This program also prepares students for Master degree programs in Psychology.

  This degree program is designed to combine excellence in instructional methodologies used in education with foundation coursework that focuses on the at-risk student in the mainstream.   This program focuses on curriculum and educational leadership in elementary and secondary education. The program of study is an aggressive, proactive research-based approach toward indentifying and implementing innovative, positive and practical solutions to situations faced by the multifaceted at-risk students in the community. • MA Education – TechnologyMA Education – Technology
  This program incorporates theory and application of technology into contemporary programs in school systems from pre-kindergarten through graduate studies. Included are program applications in distance learning, models regarding the administration of technology programs, computer assisted instruction, and the integration of technology within various education offerings, programs and organizational systems.   Students completing the Human Resources MA must complete ten required courses on topics such as Managing Human Resource Costs, Managing Human Resource Costs and Trends, Issues and Perspectives in Human Resources. They must also complete six credit hours of elective courses. Graduates are well-prepared for more advanced roles in the Human Resources Industry.

  The MBA program prepares students to take on managerial responsibilities in a wide variety of organizations upon graduation. Students can choose to specialize in one of the following areas: Finance, Health Care, Human Resources or Marketing.
• MBA – FinanceMBA – Finance
  The MBA in Finance program requires that students take a wide variety of courses including Organizational Behavior and Theory, Managerial Finance and Money and Capital Markets. Students are well prepared to assume managerial roles in the finance industry upon graduation.
• MBA - Health CareMBA - Health Care
  This program requires students to take courses in topics including Global Health Care Delivery Systems, Legal and Political Aspects of Healthcare Management as well as foundational courses on topics such as Strategic Marketing and Management Accounting. Students are well-prepared to assume managerial roles in the health care industry upon graduation.

  Completing the Human Resources MBA requires that students take five graduate level courses on topics including Managing Human Resource Costs, Training and Development and Employment Law. Students also must complete foundational courses such as Strategic Marketing and Managerial Finance.

  Graduates of this program must complete four concentration courses such as Advertising and Promotional Strategies and Public Relations and Publicity, as well as foundational courses on topics including Value Systems and Professional Ethics.
