This school is surely not for those who need their hand held all the way through their academic career. It is also not for those who are looking for the social aspect of brick and mortar schools. We do have online forums and social gatherings, but this school is about just that - school!
I am less than six months from completing my BS in Marketing Management and feel absolutely confident in my education. This has not been nearly as easy as I thought it would be, but that's a good thing. They don't just hand out degree's - they make you work your butt off for it. There is always someone there to help.
The world is at your fingertips. As far as the tuition, after going to school here, I see absolutely NO reason for education to cost more than $6000 per year. WGU is such a gem!

I was able to finish my Masters in 3 months and 9 days! I am not a good writer and struggle with school in general. I needed a program to fit my full time job, family of six, and a crazy schedule. I dedicated 3 hours a day and was completely done in 3 months.
I love that you don't have to be even an average learner to succeed at WGU. I loved that all the books were included with the price and were online. I loved that I set the pace and that it only cost $2,000. I strongly recommend this school.

WGU has been an amazing experience for me. I began my undergrad BS in Business, Marketing Management Degree program in January 2010 and Graduated in May 2012. I applied and was accepted into the MBA program and have just begun my second term.
I recently changed employers and was hired in at a level that I've been advised is "unheard of." In other words...there are plenty of internal candidates for my position but I won the job offer even in a tough employment environment. I definately owe this to the academic and personal development that I achieved through the WGU experience.
If you are self-directed and self-disciplined this school can help you achieve your goals far faster than a brick and mortar institution. I rate the quality of my education highly and have nothing but respect for WGU.

This is the worst college i have ever enquired, the very first impression that i got was non ethical and no process or standards at all, i am an international student and counselor told me that i dont need to write toefl and i did admission, during admission process i chose a wrong option which forced me to do the toefl now, however my friend registered with correct option and does not required to do toefl now, when i speak to supervisor of the counselor and she was the most egoist person and never ready to correct the manual mistake which i did.
when i did second admission with a different name with all same information with correct option then it did not force me for toefl, if there is university standard then it has to be across the board, it should not be by typing mistakes of applications, that was my terrible experience and had very bad impression about this college, i read lot of reviews about this college but got similar kind of review as it is the worst college as non ethical no standards at all

Like many online schools WGU gets a mix of excellent and poor reviews. I picked thier IT master's program for two reasons. First, it was the only one I found where obtaining IT certs were part of the course. Second, they claimed it was respected for NSA security standards. I had a good experience my first term, but a string word of caution. Do not expect them to assist you if you are in the military and get deployed. As a part-time guard guy I got called up to active duty status and was unable to complete my second term. Below is a description of how WGU screwd me over.
You only need VA money to cover the term, anything extra, such as grants and loans obtained from FAFSA will be refunded to you. I elected to use the excess for additional books and materials not required, but useful, for my course. When I notified the student services center about being called up on active duty for 8 months I was informed they only honor 2 month deferment for deployments. Who only gets deployed for only two months? Anyway, WGU told me they would "help me out" and refunded the student loan money for the term and then immediately turned around and asked me for the money they gave back to the lender. It's a shady practice expecting someone to have thousands of dollars to give you. They refused to defer payments until I am able to start again and are profiting for their "support" to military personnel.
I highly discourage any military person from attending if you have not separated yet.
