I transferred to this University from another in my senior year because they promised I could shave months off of finishing my degree and offered me a semester free. When I transferred last year I was not alerted that I was enrolled in classes earlier than I was supposed to be and the classes I was offered "free" I got all F's in! This placed in on Academic and financial aide probation... I had a 3.6 GPA at the previous university.

When I finally got my official review of my transfer credits they were completely different from my unofficial evaluation and I was now not a senior with less months taken off of my degree time as promised... I was a sophomore at Walden.

BEFORE I received this official evaluation I had already started my classes (that i actually knew about this time) ....I was absolutely disgusted with the my math lab instructions that were given in the math class. There were steps of the problem that could not be explained in any portion of the help areas or in the text book....so I had to google how to do actually do the problems. I ended up with an A in the class but it was because of google and ALL of my free time being dedicated to trying to find out how to properly do the problems.

The cost of this school is also outrageous. Their classes are 5 credit hours as opposed to 3 as most universities are, for the human services program it is 300.00 per credit hour so $1500P00 for one class. The net price calculator on the web site for rates is still on the 2010 school year, so it is reflecting much lower rates that what are currently being charged.

The support staff are always in a hurry just to get you off the phone and don't always give you accurate information....at all. So calling for help is completely useless. I have transferred back to my old school and I am having difficulty getting transcripts from Walden to be applied at my school so that I can graduate......please do not waste your time or money on this school....they are very dishonest and your degree will pull no weight in the market place.

I am working on a masters degree in nursing as a family nurse practitioner. I can tell you that this program is "NO JOKE". It is very time consuming and challenging. I certainly feel that I am getting a superior education, and I have not regretted attending this university for one minute. I have worked my butt off for the last year, and have 10 months until graduation.

People who are complaining about Walden all sound like they didnt have as easy a road as they hoped they would, so now they want to bash the school. If you are looking for an easy, "diploma mill" dont enroll at Walden, because your feelings will soon be hurt. You will have to work to get everything you get. Nothing will be given to you! If you work hard and put in the time, this is a doable school, but if your just want to coast along and make a good grade it will not happen at this school. I am very happy with Walden University!

I see that most students in the Graduate and Undergraduate have issues with Walden. I think Walden has helped me with my writing and other aspects of my education.

In addition, I went to another online school to earn my Masters and undergraduate degree and learn more here at Walden then there.

This school has no regard to your well being or future. They preach making "Social Change" but do not practice. Watch your wallets disappear.

Guys, I graduated from a normal university and took individual courses here to satisfy the 150 credit requirement for the CPA exam. I actually have no idea how this place can stay in business. I have successfully completed 2 classes from here, which are an absolute JOKE. I never purchased a book, and wrote elementary school level papers and discussion responses and got an A in the courses. This is nothing like a real college, save your money and get a degree that actually means something.

Second, the support is laughable. In a 5-6 month period, I have been through 3 advisors, had to defer 4 start dates for classes due to errors and negligence on their part, and the worst part of all - I literally cannot get a call back! As I am writing this right now, I have been un enrolled in a class, again, due to error on the part of my advisors. Left numerous messages with them, as well as their managers, and have no response.

If this was for a degree, I would be even more upset. Right now, I have to laugh at how terribly unorganized this place is. I guess I will try another online school for my remaining 2 classes. This place has atrocious reviews for a reason, guys.

(on a side note - never used job placement or financial aid so I cant speak for that)
