I been attending South University for 6months now. I like it. The staff has been so helpful from day 1. They are all one phone call or E-mail away. My financial Aid wasn't a problem. I been seeing alot of bad reviews. In my case, I never had a problem. The classes are hard but what do you expect. Im not giving up so I stand to I finish.

South University Online is the WORSE SCHOOL EVER!!! Ugh I ended up withdrawing during my 4th week of classes. Yup just that bad. The counselors aggravate you but can't help you. Complete RIP OFF.

And if you are military please look else where. THEY SUCK!! They don't want to certify enrollments or nothing. I HATE THIS SCHOOL & I BELIEVE IT NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN.

I cannot really say if I would recommend or not to anyone. Some of the instructors have been very piss poor,a couple mediocre, and the one I have right now is incredible amazing! Some of the student services are great I can call my admission or academic counselor anytime and usually reach them, but my finance counselor is the worst.I have called and emailed both and not heard one thing back from here.They have a policy now that they are suppose to return your call within 24 hours, well it is 2 weeks and I am still waiting.If you are planning on any kind of career in the medical field I will tell you to look at other schools before you decide to enroll here.

They have moved their class prices up to $1560 a class now and that is a lot for anyone to pay, and that is why I am transferring out. Now if you want to use it to get your general courses for transfer that is great ,but overall degree I would say no.

I see some bad comments on here about the school but for me it's different. I've been attending the school for about 3 months now and it seems to be going good.

It's not like a real classroom so of course it's going to be a litte more hard to get the help you need rather than fact to face contact, but I enjoy. Independent school for independent people. I recommend the school and NO I DO NOT WORK FOR THEM. I'm a real person attending.

The headline should tell you exactly how this review is going to go. I attended South U online for 16 months. In that time, I have had my accounting/Financial Aid, constantly messed up. I got stuck w/ a large bill with no explanation. They stuck me with a bill and told me I had 2 weeks to pay it or I would be locked out of my classes. I only found out about it, because I was persistent w/ my financial aid adviser. If I hadn't chased after him as much I did for months I wouldn't have found out about this bill until after I got locked out.

So, obviously the communication is awful. Once they have the money, they don't care and it's always like a burden if you actually get a hold of anyone. The instructors overall I felt cared about your education, but were unwilling to teach or tutor. The tutoring service as well is a joke. You are only allowed "X" amount of hours per year in tutor service. I tried it w/ geometry, I couldn't get the help I needed. They don't help you at all.

This school over all is a joke to me. I've gone to different schools, my wife is a new graduate from a different online school and has had a way easier time with it, than I have at South. This schools rating should be much lower than what it's at right now. Way better programs and schools out there, do your research before enrolling!
