Online courses

I don't feel that this school is worth the time or money. The "professors" were not very helpful, I always felt rushed into completing everything to the point that it was hard to learn anything. My courses and completion of the first 7 months have not helped me find a job, as no employer feels that online courses are very good, apparently. The phlebotomy and injection courses were a joke. I never learned how to do either, really. I watched during my externship, but the supervisor never felt that online courses prepared me properly for doing so myself.

I'd go elsewhere, save myself some money, and get a real education if I could go back.

My online learning experience prepared me for a real career. THe course work was challenging but geared toward real life job experience. The courses were designed to be compatible with an online experience.

Using virtual classrooms and online chat sessions, help from faculty and classmates was just a click away. I feel I gained friends the same way if we had been sitting next to each other. I will put my online degree against the best classroom degree anytime.

Anatomy and Physiology

Hello, Professor Stephens here. I recently resigned as an instructor at SJVC Online (Anatomy and Physiology; Microbiology). Most of the students where great and I wish them well...and that they always question and think for themselves. The administration though seems to to be in disarray and self serving as opposed to realizing why we educate and how we educate....my philosophy: it is all about the student and making sure that they have a passion for learning beyond credits and grades....this seems to be an after thought with them... Cheers, Professor Stephens
