I really enjoyed the time spent earning my MBA. While it was challenging, and sometimes frustrating, it was well worth it once I was finished. These are some really tough economic times now, so it's important to bolster your knowledge base and resume as best you can in order to remain competitive in the job market. My Regis MBA has helped me to do that. Regis is well known for its quality education and emphasis of service to others. When you combine those two things with a solid business education, it makes a winning combination.
In short, the program was demanding at times, especially the first two foundation courses. Those two courses were a whirlwind of different knowledge bases needed to be competent in the realm of business. Coincidentally, they were also two of the more rigorous courses during the program. Every other class was meaningful and relevant, but required extensive study. One of the things I liked most about the Regis MBA program was its learning model. The curriculum was designed in a way to teach best and current business practices, teaching ethical behavior as a result of the school's jesuit background all the way. The majority of the faculty were working professionals with extensive experience and academic knowledge.
I feel this is an extremely effective teaching method and it helped me greatly during my time there. To culminate your B-School experience, you take a capstone course at the end of the program to summarize the things you've learned. Without divulging too much information, you work with other students managing a virtual company. This is both challenging and rewarding. If you're looking to break into Wall Street as a financial consultant, you may want to look elsewhere. However, if you're looking to gain practical and relevant business knowledge and help boost your resume for increased responsibility and career growth, then Regis is a great option.
