I've been attending Liberty Online for a year now pursuing my Bachelors in Religion. Excellent courses and very knowledgeable and helpful Professors! The prices are very acceptable and have not seen or heard of any hidden fees!
I recently went to the University campus for a concert. Beautiful place and friendly students and staff. I've attended other online and campus colleges; this is by far my favorite and gives the best experience!

Liberty is overpriced and they push all kinds of extra fees on you that they don't tell you about. It's almost impossible to get a student teaching position unless you live right near them and their name means nothing in the teaching world because they are considered an "online" school.

I love Liberty University Online! I have attended a different school prior to Liberty and there is just no comparison! Questions and concerns are handled promptly, teachers are for the most part very understanding of what it's like to be an adult student. I absolutely love the knowledge on scripture every class has to offer! Awesome school! A+!!!

I do not recommend LU's online teaching degree MAT. The classes are good until you go to student teach. They give you no guidance or mentoring. They give a manual and say good luck. You can not change change schools if the teacher will not let you actually student teach.
They make so many mistakes that it is truly sad. If you have to withdraw from student teaching because your husband is in the military, they will make you wait a year and take more classes. I have waisted two years of my life. I have 11 A's in graduate school at LU no degree. I am so far vested that it is too late to change schools.
They will tell you that you have met graduation requirements but that you need more "content Competency" requirements. This is a legal way for them to make you take as many extra classes as they want. You can never talk to a "real" advisor on the phone - only students who really don't know the answers. Last, they will not tell you why you have to wait or take more classes. Student teaching through email to your instructors is a very BAD idea. Do not get a degree in teaching at liberty online. You will regret it.

I started classes through LUO in 2010, and so far, have loved it. Like any school you attend, there will be professors you like more than others, and professors who are better at responding to questions, etc., than others.
I'm surprised at the reviews from students complaining about the emphasis on scripture, etc., if you are attending a Baptist or Christian University, why in the world would you be upset with anything they require having to do with Scripture, etc.? It's like going to a steak house and complaining that the menu has too much beef and not enough salad.
Some of the classes have been quite challenging, but honestly, Liberty provides all of the resources needed to pass, including grading rubrics so you know exactly what it takes to make an A.
I would recommend this school to anyone who wants to go back and finish their degree.
