I want to enroll in Liberty University Online, I just haven't completely decided if I should yet, I want to be able to speak with someone to help me out with any questions that I have, but it seems that I do not get emails with information I need in them and when I speak with them on the phone. They seem so quick to get off the phone with me like they haven't the time to answer my questions. They just tell me send in your transcripts and fill out your FAFSA, and that it will take 4 to 6 weeks to get everything going.

I do not want to enroll if the staff isn't going to be their to answer my questions and help me understand them, they will not explain any information to me about how I will access my books, or what is or what is not included into my tuition. Has anyone else ran into this problem. I want to enroll because I am a Christian and want to go to a Christian based college, but not if everyone seems so short to answer my questions and get off the phone with me in a hurry.

Since I have started attending my classes, I have had nothing but wonderful experiences. The curriculum has been challenging, and it has broadened my view of scripture, as I am a religion major. My professors reply to my e-mails promptly, if I have any questions for them pertaining to assignments. Also, Liberty University has regional accreditation, which means their degrees are accepted by all higher level educational institutions (if one chooses to transfer to another university), per federal law. This means that I have the potential to be accepted into any other university, to obtain a graduate or doctorate degree, as long as I possess a bachelor’s degree from Liberty; credits are also transferable. So yes, Liberty University degrees are recognized as valid degrees.

I do not understand why people complain about Liberty’s Christian based curriculum. Liberty University is a Christian University. Therefore, their curriculum is going to be based on their Christian beliefs. If you disagree with their curriculum, you should not attend a Christian institution. As far as their theological view is concerned, I believe they teach sound doctrine. I could not be happier with the application of their theological methodology.

One of the greatest things about Liberty University, outside of the above mentioned qualities, is that they offer trimesters. This means I can accrue credits at an expedient rate. I should be able to obtain my bachelor’s degree in under three years. This is not feasible at most universities, based upon their traditional semesters. Based on everything I have mentioned, I would rate Liberty University as a top-notch university. As for others with bad experiences at this particular institution, I have to question why they attended Liberty in the first place, if they felt it was such a bad institution. Personally, I could not see myself attending a better university for my bachelor’s degree.

Lastly, Liberty University is an extremely veteran friendly institution. They have reduced the cost of my tuition, as I am a veteran. Many universities do not offer the same benefits for veterans. They really do care about the men and women who have served.

I earned an associate degree at a local community college before enrolling at Liberty. As such, I enrolled in Liberty's online program having previously experienced a traditional academic classroom environment. I attended Liberty full-time and did every class online. I earned my B.S. in Religion in May of 2012.

I'll be honest, I was skeptical about online education at first but after the first semester I was highly satisfied - so I continued on. I must say I am very impressed with Liberty. My classes were rigorous and fun.

Comparing both a classroom and online environment is not easy - both have their pros and cons - however, I believe that my online education at Liberty was just as good, if not better, that my classroom education. It seems that most people put this school down because of it's religious stance.

However, the school is blunt about it's Christian faith so it's difficult to feel sorry for those who attended knowing full well what they were getting in to. Go somewhere else if you're not a Christian. It's that simple.

Over the course of a year or two, I compared different Masters degrees from divergent online universities. When first encountering Liberty's online programs, I was interested; however, not totally sure if their counseling program would lead to licensure in my state. After undergoing another Masters level program, I knew that I wanted a degree that took a reasonable amount of time (not as lengthy as the 87 credit hr degree I was doing) and did not require traveling on campus for every module course.

In fact, what prompted my decision to change schools was when I got really sick. I knew I had an interest in counseling, so I began looking at Liberty, since I needed something flexible that would allow me to continue with school. Once I looked into their school, I saw a great opportunity to get quality education and have the flexibility I needed while recuperating from illnesses.

Upon starting Liberty's professional counseling program, I felt impressed with the curriculum. I had excellent experiences with the professors and students. The course work challenges me, as a student, because it requires more than just turning in mere homework assignments. I am definitely not a fan of busy work! Also, they use similar text books that other preeminent schools use during the course of their counseling program.

Of course, I would recommend anyone looking into the program to check with your state's requirements because obtaining licensure depends upon their criteria. All in all, the university has done a great job with ensuring I am informed about my degree, courses, financial aid, and so forth. Each time I contact the university, the enrollment specialists take the time to ensure my courses and financial aid are accurate. Similarly, they always answer any questions I may have about the school, counseling programs, course requirements, etc.

The only criticism I have is that I would like for them to have more doctoral psychology degrees, since I am interested in clinical psychology. Moreover, I am only speaking from my degree stance. There are others who may have an issue with online formatting; however, I recommend spending sufficient time comparing programs, understanding what your career goals are before committing to a degree program, asking questions about "any" school, and thoroughly checking with your state to know what is required to become licensed or certified in your field, i.e., accreditation, internship hours, specific courses, acceptable academic formatting (online vs campus, if any requirement is specified within state legislation), think about the school's reputation (brick and mortar offering online degrees vs only online university), how would your future employer rank the education or school name for that fact, and is the costs of the university affordable (if it is a private university, chances are that it will be more expensive than state college/university; however, "for-profit" universities are far more expensive.

Realize that your program may or may not meet your needs; but, your are still responsible to pay on the loans taken out for school, even if you are not satisfied with your degree(s).

I say all this to help people who may be considering Liberty, only online schools, or even public universities. Liberty may not be the school for you, but before choosing a 100% online school do some "extensive research and thinking" about where you want to go career wise. Note: Liberty is not a 100% online school or for-profit because they have an actual establishment since the 1971 and are a private Christian university, in fact the most extensive in the country.

Do not attend this school whatsoever. It's a big joke. The instructors do not provide you any information or feedback about your assignments until you have completed. All they do is criticize you rather than teaching the actual class. They are about money.

I have completed several assignments for one class and did not get a review/ input until several weeks later. They are preoccupied with other activities and do not attend to student's concerns in a timely manner.
