Ended up quitting. This place was the bane of my existence. Tried transferring after 1 year, and a real university would only take 2-3 of those courses I took. Student services is a joke. I never got a call back from my "student success coach", my first one quit, and the dean was kind of a dink. They will rob you blind at this school. I suggest you stay away.

Stay away from this school. Their admin is pathetic. Their instructors are non-responsive. The only people who respond are the survey folks, and they won't leave you alone.

I have had multiple issues. I've been registered for classes I didn't ask for. I've been billed directly when there was student aid. I've been sent bills when the bill has already been paid. I was in a course where the instru...ctor didn't say anything for 3 weeks (in an 8 week course.)

I've had instructors take 4 weeks to grade homework or respond to questions (again, an 8 week course.) Most recently I was told I would have an e-book for a class, but lo-and-behold, when class started only hard-copies are available. Thus I have to wait for the bookstore to ship the books (I'm an online student). I get to start the class a week behind because these people don't know what they are doing.

I wanted my masters degree in accounting and found the Keller MAFM program was most affordable. I did my due diligence beforehand and made sure I understood the structure of the program before I began. My employer paid part of my tuition and I had loans for the remainder. Overall I had a great experience, I have stayed in touch with others form the program and having the degree is a help in getting promoted where I work. As I said, overall a good experience.

DeVry Not For You

At first, my experience at DeVry was pleasant. The recruiter was honest, and she worked very hard for me, to ensure my issues were resolved quickly. The fact that I had so many issues should have been a red flag for me. They continued throughout my entire program.

I took all of my classes online, which was very good for me, with a busy work and life schedule; however the resources available to online students are not up to University standards. I had many problems with my transferred credits, and I was hassled for payment, even though I was paying on time, and more than the minimum (out of pocket).

The biggest problem occurred when I was placed in a course for which I had not taken the prerequisite course - this resulted in much frustration on my part, not being able to understand the material. Eventually, DeVry dropped me from the course, in the seventh week (courses run 8 weeks), just before the Final exam was due. One good note for DeVry would be that they did apply the money paid for the course, so I didn't have to pay to take it twice, since it was their mistake placing me in the first place.

If you are looking for a school which will support your needs, and cause you little stress, avoid DeVry University.

Keller brings quality and innovation

Keller is the graduate school of DeVry University. I have been enrolled in Keller's Masters in Information Systems Management program for six months now, and couldn't be more pleased with the education I am recieving.

I am a veteran of the US Navy and online learning (My BBA was achieved online), and I can say that Keller not only brings quality professors to the table (65% are terminal degree holders - higher percentage than most online schools), but innovate with the latest methods of online delivery of content.

The class shell can be abit confusing at times, but it devivers chat, online librarys, document exchange systems, even free software from Microsoft! They use the MyScribe system for delivering digital textbooks. What a hassle free environment that is! No more shopping for textbook ISBNs or waiting for delivery. I just enroll in a class, and the digital textbooks are downloaded to my PC! I can also say that I find myself challenged in every class.

I also love the fact that Keller has brick & mortar campuses which allow me to enroll in blended learning classes as well as online only. I use my GI Bill benefit and Keller's student services bills the VA directly, all I have to do is bring home the good grades. My experience with Keller graduate school has been an excellent one and I recommend them.
