I had no issues with this school. The teachers were great for the most part. I think I had one i didnt care for. I see someone wrote that 35% graduate from this school. Thats probably their own fault for not studying. Test were open book which i thnk is ok. no one ever remebers everything, its knowing where to get the info. I put alot of time into my classes and my grades showed it. I used my post 9/11 GI bill and never had any calls or emails saying i owed money. In fact the school let me start before my GI bill was submitted. I gave them basic info and they took care of the rest to activate the GI bill.

I began Kaplan University after attending TESST College of Technology to acquire Computer Knowledge that would further assist me in the Criminal Justice Field of Homeland Security and Emergency Management toward a Master's of Science Degree. I have had very educated Professors who have been helpful and knowledgable.

So far the Admission's Office and Tech Support Team have been very helpful. Only 2 persons out of 100 may have been unhelpful in the Finanacial Department but it was during a Computer Transition Process that is very time consuming and difficult with usually an unforeseen problem, that was eventually resolved. I have completed 25 credits so far and have ejoyed the progress of my pursuit. Kaplan is a great University, I have attended several well known colleges that I may have had a lesser experience.

Going to miss Kaplan

I have been with Kaplan University online for nearly 2 years. I will be recieving my Bachelors degree soon and I have chosen to attend another school for my Masters.

I am really going to miss Kaplan, as they have been a superb school. My academic advisor is the best and his been with me for the entire time. Every one of my instructors have brought with them a unique and intriguing personal history that increases their knowledge of the class they instruct. All of my instructors have been supportive, understanding, and have a unique desire to aid in every students learning.

I have sincerely loved my Kaplan and will miss them greatly and hope that my future graduate school is just as great. I totally recommend this school!

Kaplan BSIT Program

Overall, I have had a relatively smooth program at Kaplan. Some of the classes are too easy but most deliver decent and useful information. I have only had some minor problems with changes to the experiential learning credits but hoped that has been resolved. In general the learning advisors are simply point of sale contacts with little or no power to assist. Any serious problems should be directed to the Dean of students. Overall the program is easily followed but I agree with all others that it is pricey

No School is Perfect

I believe in the power of education no matter where you can find it. Have I had troubles or concerning issues with Kaplan University? Yes, most definitely. Did I let that stop me? No. It is my belief that no matter what school you go to there will be some issues that come up. Some good, some bad. There is no one college or educational institution that is perfect in every single way. I found Kaplan (an accreditted school) through a very thorough, secure, and specific website. Had it not been for that I would have ended up NOT choosing Kaplan. I can safely say that, while I had a couple of small issues and a couple of bad ones, going to Kaplan was well worth my time...even for a single mother of 3 at the time. A lot of people have spoken about Kaplan and how expensive they are. I will agree that they are a bit on the pricey side. However, the classes are geared and shaped around each program (such as their Criminal Justice program of which I graduated from). Everyone is given enough time (1 week) to get all of their assignments turned in (including posting to the discussion boards, attending the weekly seminars, and any out-side-the-classroom homework). Anyone can go back to school. All you need is patience, a sense of priority, and the ability to organize your time. If a single mother can do it, then just about anyone on this planet can do it.
