Personally, I seem to be learning the same thing online as I could from a classroom. I am still working on my Masters degree, and I am glad I am going to Jones - but I had gone to California Lutheran University (CLU) before making the switch. The classes are just as challenging and I feel I will be able to use what I learn in my job.
The freedom to study on my time rather than rushing to get to a classroom also is a benefit. The way the interaction with other students is accomplished, I think is a great tool in this technology driven society. So I do not feel as I am missing anything by going to school online.
As for why I chose JIU, mine were a mix of personal reasons, and knowing it was not a for-profit business but an institution of higher education. The facility also has real degrees, and personally, I like the thought of learning from someone who knows more than I know, and has the paper to prove it.
