I'm just past halway through my master's degree and it's been a good experience so far. Most of my instructors have been qualified, conscientious and genuinely interested in our learning. Most of my classmates are intelligent and hardworking. My financial and academic counselors did change several times in my first 3 or 4 months, but I've had the same excellent counselors now for more than 6 months. They are always courteous and helpful.

The comments about surprise bills at graduation do make me a little nervous, and I will definitely start checking on that now. The quality of the textbooks and other resources have been relevant and current. I took a sample of the state certification exam just today (4 classes before graduation) and did really well, which is reassuring. As with any financial venture, check all details carefully, but GCU is a good education.

After comparing Grand Canyon University to other online colleges I decided to enroll in Grand Canyons Master degree program in Professional Counseling. My enrollment counselor was helpful and explained to me that the Professor’s at Grand Canyon University enjoy challenging students. Of course I enrolled because I did not expect earning a Master’s degree was going to be easy. After completing five courses I withdrew with a 4.0 GPA. I have to admit this was giving to me and was not earned. During my third course I was working 60 hour work weeks and I have to admit I did not turn in high quality assignments. Of course I continued taking courses with Grand Canyon.

My Previous Course with Grand Canyon was a complete nightmare. Grand Canyon just transformed over to a new online learning environment that they called Loud Cloud. The New Learning Platform was unstable and confusing and continuously crashed. Once again I was not completing top quality assignments, but still managing to receive straight A’s.

I also only finished less than half of my final exam because of technical issues. The questions did not show up, but the timer continued running. I explained this to be teacher and she explained I probably ran out of time. Of course When I received by final grade I received a B+ despite the fact that my work was not up to par and I failed my final. If you need a piece of paper then Grand Canyon may be right for you. However, If you are looking for an education and a respectable school then go somewhere other than Grand Canyon University. This School is as close to a diploma Mill as they come.

You will not be a nurse when you get done with this. You will be a master of ESP. I am an engineer; I was unable to succeed in this course. That is all I can tell you. Read between the lines!!!!

I attended this school for over two years to finish my Psychology degree. I was told I was given a small scholarship to cover the last class I needed, since I was at my loan limit, but then after I finished the class(with an A) I was told that I didn't qualify for the scholarship. I was told that my academic counselor made a mistake, but that there was nothing they could do about it!

My degree is now being held hostage while I slowly pay back the $1500 I am told that I owe.

Very disappointing for a "Christian" university!!! After reading the reviews here, I see that I am not the only one. I am going to look into what I can do legally by making some phone calls to the Phoenix area district attorney. If enough people call they might actually hold them accountable.

I was accepted into the RN-BSN and began classes Jan 2010 after 3 classes( 15 weeks in) I was informed I was not officially accepted in the BSN program as there a was a problem with my GPA from my ADN program being .10 pts too low. Got that resolved continued on, financial aid turnover is horrible as is the turnover for advisors. I was actually enrolled into a class which required a pre-req course by my enrollment counselor then when questioned as to why - response hum uh well I know you will do well in the class. Are you kidding me?

Most of the instructors were angels sent to earth and went above and beyond to see you succeed. After completing my program in March of 2011 I was told that I still owed 750.00 for my last class when I inquired why/how this happened as I had a student loan and had received a refund check. Again the response was I don't know I just took over your account- multiple messages for the Director of Financial aid well it 2012 and I have yet to get a f/u call. I paid the 750.00. Graduated in May of 2011 after multiple calls- lies about this that or the other I finally received my degree in Aug.

The course work is vigorous 5 weeks is not a long time to really learn and retain a lot.
