CityU is a JOKE!! Starts with their professors who lack professionalism to administration that never knows anything. A bunch of idiots, no wonder they are a non-profit. Steer Clear.

Whoever wrote the review bashing CityU's accreditation is ignorant. The fine Washington State institutions (UW and Washington State) are not accredited by the WASC, because they are not in California. CityU is accredited by the same institution as UW and Washington State, so one could expect credit (or partial credit) transfer to or from any of the schools accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Someone needs to validate these postings.
I have had the pleasure of reading about this school from many alum who attended; albeit bad or good. First off, I wanted to say that they are and accredited university, but you need to know a little bit about accreditation.
The big one is WASC (Western Association of Schools and College), which is 1 of 5 governing bodies in the USA. If you get a degree from a WASC school, then you can transfer to ANY other accredited school...at City University, they are only accredited locally, which means if you wanted to transfer to say, UW, or University of Oregon, the credits would not be transferable...so before you talk about accreditation, know what you're talking about and prospective students PLEASE be aware of what you're getting yourself in to.
I chose City University because they are the only university with a PM certificate that will earn you graduate degree credits. In addition City University is one of the few to offer a Masters in Project Management.
The teachers are working project managers so they give you real life experience.
I am very happy with my education at City University.
Having completed my MBA just some months ago, I must admit that I'm very satisfied with the quality of this school. Especially, competence and expertise of actually all lecturers reached a high standard. Most of them emphasized strongly on doing lots of research.
From the administrative point of view one can confirm that all requests and questions were answered constructively within a short time period. I'm proud to have gained not only from the docents' knowledge but also from the other students' believes and their life experiences. This degree was in general quite some hard work. However, I can recommend without any restrictions.
