I have two Master's degree from major universities in our area. While both prepared me for my career in public education, I can say that neither prepared me for the rigor of academc writing required in the doctoral program at CCU. Challenging isn't a strong enought word....which in the sense of doctoral programs should be music to your ears. One should expect a doctoral program to be challenging and result in superior academic and personal growth.
My instructors were clear from the beginning (with my first failed graduate paper), that the entire doctorate program was designed to ensure that I could write a successful disseration comparable to any other doctoral disseration and second to none. I appreciated their candid feedback and committment to my success. I am in to the 5th course of my doctoral program and feel as thought I have made significant improvement, not only in my writing of critical issues, but also being able to reflectively analyze, evaluate and communicate an argument.
Afterall, such academic performance is what we are all seeking at this level. The doctoral program does not allow challenge exams or credit by examination. One must have a 3.0 to graduate, Each course is divided into 4 units. Each unit is a total of 4 written essays with 750-1000 words eah question. The final exam is a 100 question multiple choice exam to be proctored . By the time you have finished just one unit of one class..a student has written approxamately 20 pages demonstrating their knowledge of the material. Each paper must be accurately cited with fidelity or your grade reflects neglegence in this area. By the time doctoral student completes the coursework, he or she will have written 800-1000 pages of quality academic writing.
I'm looking forward to completing my degree at CCU. I highly recommend CCU to anyone needing a selfpaced yet rigorous curruiculum.

I enrolled in the Bachelor' in Business Administration Program. I was able to transfer every credit that I had received during my two years at a brick and mortar university.
I love the ability to test out of classes as well. It has been great to work at my own pace. I am always able to get an immediate answer when I call the university with any questions. While the school is not regionally accredited, it does hold national accredidiaton. In this day and age, just the fact that the school holds national accredidation seems to be enough for the employers I have spoken with. The best plus to the program is that the tuition was half tom a quarter that of comparable schools.
The only thing to watch out for: If you take the universities plan of $100/month, remember you will not get your degree until you have paid the university in full! Overall, an awesome choice for working adults!

Is CCU a good choice? I have been doing a lot of research on Regionally vs Nationally accredited schools. Our Government recognizes both Regional and National accreditation. I am considering using CCU for my BS I have an Associates from a Regionally accredited school. If I move forward I know there are Regionally accredited colleges that will accept my BS from CCU and allow me to pursue my masters with regional accreditation. University of New England and Ashford University are just two.
In the grand scheme regional accreditation is more widely recognized but it's not a deal breaker. Most normal jobs should respect your diploma and if you pursue a masters from a regionally accredited school there should be no issue. If the degree gets you in the door it all comes down to you and what you can offer. I look at this way I plan on knocking my BS out in a year and moving on to my Masters. I will be done in less than 3 years with everything with regional accreditation for my Masters where as if I went regionally all the way through 4-5 years and ton more money.
Oh and to the guy crying about wanting to sue CCU because he did not know it was not Regionally accredited get a life. First off it does not cost money to sue if you have a case and a lawyer sees value in your accusation which clearly you have none. It did not take a lot of research to see what this school offers and for anyone crying about it after the fact shame on you for not digging deeper into it and I would imagine you probably have issues with other aspects of your life as well.

Excellent MBA Program! Finished the MBA program back in 2005 and I have to tell you that it was both challenging, delivered well and it taught me a tremendous amount.
I had a very positive experience with both the faculty and overall curriculum. It's really how much time & effort you put into the program that truly determines your success & value of the program given the self-paced & self-learning approach. For those who can handle distance learning, their programs are well-designed and in the end will also equip you to advance in your career.

I really needed a place where I could get this done as fast as possible at a resoniable price. My job depended on it. I am also a single mother and I did not want to be affected by high cost. My admission rep was Damian. He helped me so much from day one he wanted to know my goals and what I wanted and did not force enrollment upon me. From day one I wasnt a number I was a student. Thanks D. and CCU!
