I have had the best experience so far. Any paper work you would ever need is on the website. The staff is SO nice. They always take time to talk to me and they give me straight answers instead of transferring me from department to department like other colleges I have attended. Everything is just so organized, easy and pleasant. I'm so relieved because I didn't think I could go back to college. I'm glad I did :)

I got my Associates Degree from Fisher College, in Boston, MA- at present I do not see where they offer online classes. With Baker College, they accepted all my classes from Fisher College and also from Charleston Southern here in South Carolina.
I have found Baker College to have excellent instructors, who are quite knowledgeable in the subject matter and they do interact very well with students on our discussion board. I think the curriculum that Baker College offers, are in-depth, with much research and thought taken for assignments. I am having a wonderful time taking classes online.
A person who attends Baker College will get a deep understanding of the subjects being taught, and come away with not wanting some classes to end.

I have been reading several reviews of Baker Online and I will admit that some of them are quite interesting to say the least.
For a little background information on myself, I graduated from one of Baker's campus programs in 2005 and without it, I would not be where I am today. I'm currently enrolled in Baker's online Psychology program and expect to graduate next year.
Baker requires a great deal of work and dedication on behalf of their students. Any problem that you find in the classroom setting, you can find online as well. Yes, there is a great deal of homework involved and yes, you are practically teaching yourself the material. I have had really crummy instructors in the past that made me question my decision to attend Baker any further, but that is where the end of quarter surveys come into play. I have seen on-campus instructors lose their jobs over these surveys as well as online instructors.
Yes, if you are attending Baker Online, expect to do a lot of work--your degree wouldn't feel as good if it was just handed to you, now would it? I work full time and attend class full-time and currently carry a 3.6gpa. Yes, the discussion board requirements are demanding (especially if you're taking more than one class at a time), but if you use your noggin, you can not only answer any questions that you have regarding homework assignments (lets face it--if you have a question, someone else probably does as well) by reading what other people have posted.
Welcome to the real world where you are actually expected to work to obtain your degree. Online classes are not for everyone and there are those who require the physicality of having an instructor in front of them. However, after attending Baker's Online program for almost 2 years, I will most likely attend their Online campus for my Master's program in the near future.
As far as the price of classes are concerned, I have researched numerous online schools and Baker Online (even their Master's program) is still the cheapest I've found. Also, no where is it written that you MUST purchase the books from the Baker Bookstore. They would like you to, but its not a requirement. As long as you have the ISBN number for the book, you can get it anywhere such as Amazon. I've even rented books for class (via ecampus.com or half.com) so purchasing brand new textbooks each quarter is not necessary.

I read many of the reviews and it seems as though many people just complain about the instructors being part time. Why should it matter if an instructor is part time or full time, just as long as they contribute to the class. I have attended Baker for two years now, and I am very happy with the school. I have had horrible instructors as well as good, but let's face it, you get the same thing in a brick and mortar college. Online college is great. It allows me the flexibility to work full time and go to school from my couch.
I have found that Baker is actually harder than one of my local colleges I attended. They give you a lot of work, but college isn't supposed to be a cake walk. The reason why I decided to go to Baker was due to their participation requirements. I had taken several online classes as my local school and it seemed as if I was the only one attending.
Baker is a great school and I would highly recommend it for someone who is not afraid to work. Let's face it, if you just want to be handed a degree there are many schools out there that will just send you your diploma for making your payments. Is that the type of school you want to go to? If you're really serious about a quality education, then Baker is the place for you.
I have never heard of any college making a student do an internship, even when they already hold a job that reflects much of the courses they took online. Sorry to say but I had to leave Baker due to this, it took me way to long to get into the position that I had to give it up for some silly internship. I wasn't going to lose my job for Baker, wasn't worth it. Not sure if Baker is wanting students to lose their current positions or what.
I think the Department of Education should look into this. It makes me wonder if the federal money that Baker gets is being put to good use when a student has to do an internship. What a waste.
