Finished my MPH (100% online with no residency requirement). Highly recommend the program. Once I finished the MPH I started the DHED, but decided I wanted to finish a PhD online and transferred to NCU. What a horrible mistake. No comparison in the quality.

I recently graduated from A.T. Still University with a Doctor of Health Science (DHSc.) degree. I ended up completing the program in only two years. It's so difficult to do that that ATSU has decided not to let students complete it in anything less than three years anymore. That's a good move as there was a pretty high attrition rate among the folks attempting to do the program in two.
I rate this among the absolute best of my academic experiences, and this is coming from someone with multiple master's degrees, including Ivy League experience. This program is by no means a cake-wake. It requires a serious commitment in time and effort--but it is well worth it. I took away more knowledge about the field of healthcare in two years than I'd manage to accrue in 25 years+ in the field. I have a ton of more tools to use in practical operational environments than I'd had before.
The unique and most important discriminator about this program is that it invites all manner of allied health professionals into a commonly shared laboratory of learning. The result is that each student is exposed to perspectives outside his or her occupational silo. It's an amazingly enriching experience that I believe (as it grows) will help to foster cooperation and collaboration among otherwise disparate professionals who should be working for a common cause--the delivery of quality healthcare.
Can't say enough about the program director, administrative staff, or the professors and instructors. Superb in every respect. I would stack this program against anything out there right now, distance or traditional. I predict ATSU will emerge as one of the Nation's leaders in graduate medical education in just a few short years.

I have to commend the faculty of the DHSc program for their commitment to building a challenging and in-depth program.
The coursework is certainly time consuming. It will take approximately 15 hours of study and participation time for each class each week. The support tools like the Writing Center and Library are easily accessed and the staff will gladly help you through the program.
The diversity of professionals in the program leads to high levels of discussion. There are PAs, RNs, DDSs, PhDs, Administrators, CEOs, etc. in the program with me.
Overall, the richness of the student population, the applied research perspective of the curriculum and the amazing faculty make it a wonderful value and investment in your future.

The doctoral program for health sciences is an excellent program. The Arizona School of Health Sciences is student focused and student friendly. The faculty are always willing to answer any questions that student have.
The school has an excellent writing center which students are encouraged to use prior to submitting their assignments. There is also an excellent library PubMed. It has a lot of information which students can access when doing their assignments. If a student can not access an article, the librian has ways to obtain it.
The work is assinged in advanced in order for it to be done and submitted timely. So far I have not had any problems.
I would recommend anyone interested in persuing his or her doctoral studies in health science to go to A.T. Still University.
Respectfully, Doctoral Student in the Health Science Program

I am pleased overall with the program. The most frustrating part was to find two PhDs/MDs to volunteer on my dissertation committee. I have had good experiences with several faculty members. I have not had that great of an experience with the academic coordinator and financial aid personnel...URGH. Overall, the good outweighs the bad so do your research and think carefully. Also, the chair of the health education program is helpful, but she can be a bit tough.
p.s., Do a google search for the degree title and see what it yields "DHEd". You will find it difficulty to determine what graduates are actually doing, but then again, the program is not more than a few years old.
