As an online school Argosy lacks in organization with scheduling. If you as a student don't mind, not getting your questions answered, and a lack of organization, then the school is GREAT.

One of the most important attributes one can have is self-motivation. Argosy University requires one to be highly self-motivated. Another attribute is honesty. If a student does his or her own work, he or she will find that Argosy truly challenges the student. This is true for any University.Professors at brick and mortar schools are no better educated than professors at Argosy. Check your catalog and you shall see. Read and study all the materials you are required to do, and you will have a great experience. I have four degrees(A.A., B.A, M.A.,Ed.S.,) from brick and mortar schools and two from Argosy. The doctorate from Argosy required a tremendous amount of research, study, and self-sacrifice. I am proud of my accomplishments; do the right thing and you will be also.

I had a mixed experience with online learning. Some of the professors were serious about the assignments and made the assignments commensurate with a doctoral program experience. Some of the professors seemed to just go through the motions and just gave assignments that were just to get me through the class without proving that I knew the material. I guess that this is not different from class in a traditional brick and mortar environment, though. As for my own motivation, it was difficult at times to balance my time between work and home to make time for the online classes. I had gone the traditional route for my master's degree and I knew that I could not do this for my doctorate degree.
The online experience was harder for me to find time to do the classwork, but it was the only was to get my terminal degree - I am in my final term to get my doctoral degree from Argosy. My advisor does not know me. It seems as if the advisors only know the needy students who can't figure things out on their own. My advisor has changed 4 times since I have been enrolled, so I feel that I am on my own. This is not unique to online universities, but the face time is limited in online universities.

Online learning experience was more in depth than expected. The coursework was extremely challenging and the faculty made you work hard to earn your grades. Utilizing online chats and virtual classroom I could speak with my fellow students and faculty in real time. The experience was challenging and rewarding, my degree has allowed me to finally find a rewarding career with a promising future.
