At the age of 51, and caught up in the political doldrums of finding a job and having only a GED, I enrolled at National University. In two years and 10 months I had my B/A in Inter Disciplinary Studies. It was this fantastic learning experience that led me to become a teacher, earn my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, become a Lead Teacher and now opt to be a Principal. From $16,000.00 a year as a welder, forklift operator and then to a teachers Assistant; and finally becoming a teacher at $46,000.00 per year to start was because of National University. I recommend this to any person seeking to advance their education and professional position.

My online learning experience was positive. The flexibility, variety of degree choices and knowledgeable instructors made this learning experience intellectually and career rewarding for me. Each semester, the instructor and students submitted short bios allowing everyone to become acquainted with and supportive of each other, and communicating was readily available through postings, threads, etc. Contact and response time from the instructors was timely. When considering an online education keep in mind that this area of learning is very fast paced, therefore, self discipline and general computer knowledge is definitely required.
