According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual salary for human resource specialists was reported to be $50,230. Among the industries paying the highest wages for human resource professionals are corporations, local and state governments, colleges and universities, and hospitals. The BLS projects a continued employment growth of about 17% through the year 2016.
