Overview
Originally founded in 1931, Harrington College of Design offers aspiring design professionals the opportunity to hone their craft and earn a career-oriented degree. Students can earn an Associate and/or Bachelor's Degree in Digital Photography, Interior Design, or Communication Design. Campus facilities are located in Chicago, Illinois.
Student Appeal
Experienced professional instructors share their industry knowledge along with proven teaching methods that reflect current design trends. Course material is kept fresh and up-to-date with changes in the design field, but individual creativity and comprehension is emphasized through small class sizes and active participation. First-hand experiential learning techniques enable students to sample what future careers may involve. Job placement assistance is provided for all students during matriculation and following graduation. Busy working adults and students have the choice of flexible day, evening, and weekend class schedules.
Financial
Financial aid is available for those who qualify through federal and state loans, grants, and work study. Scholarship opportunities are available on the basis of need and merit. Additional information can be obtained through the Financial Aid Department.
Harrington is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award associate degrees and bachelor's degrees. The college is also an institutional member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).
