  1. The American Fire Sprinkler Association Scholarship
  2. This scholarship offers students a chance to learn about safety, with possible monetary awards. All you need to do is read an article on fire sprinkler safety and then take a ten question, open-book test. For each correct answer, you will earn a chance to win a $2000 scholarship, ten of which are awarded every year.
  3. The Society of Vacuum Coaters Scholarship
  4. The Society of Vacuum Coaters has established a scholarship program with the aim of promoting the study of vacuum coating technology. If you you are already interested in vacuum coating or think you might want to study the subject, check it out. The SVC scholarship committee looks for good grades, an interest in vacuum coating related subjects such as physics or math, and demonstrable financial need.
  5. The Tall Clubs International (TCI) Foundation Scholarship
  6. TCI has a scholarship of up to $1000 for just being tall. Students in North America under 21 who are attending their first year of college may apply if they meet the height requirements: 6'2" for men and 5'10" for women. To apply, find the nearest Tall Clubs International club and try to get them to nominate you for the award.
  7. The American Nudist Research Library Scholarship
  8. The Sunsport Gardens Family Naturist Resort offers this scholarship to high school seniors and recent graduates. This $1,000 scholarship is only awarded to students who have been a member of a nudist organization for at least three years. Applicants must write a brief essay. The organization also offers a $500 award for a 500-word publishable article that includes photographs. This award is open to any full-time student who belongs to a nudist organization.
  9. Chick and Sophie Major Memorial Duck Calling Scholarship
  10. The winner of the Chick and Sophie Major Memorial Duck Calling Contest, open to any high school senior in the United States, will receive a $1,500 scholarship. Scholarships of $500, $300, and $200 are awarded to runner ups. Contestants have 90 seconds to use four different calls: hail, feed, comeback, and mating. You can enter yourself in this free contest by contacting the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce.
  11. Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year (SAMMY) Scholarship
  12. Student-athletes can apply to be one of the 25 winners of the SAMMY scholarship awards. Every SAMMY winner receives $7500 for college, a spot in a USA Today advertisement, and an all-expense paid trip to the Disney Wide World of Sports Milk House where they will be inducted into the Milk House Hall of Fame.

  24. Create and submit an originally designed and constructed one-piece garment, two-piece garment, or ensemble, made entirely of wool or wool blend (minimum 60%) fabric and fibers and you could win up to $2000.
  25. J.D. Salinger Award
  26. This 4-year, $25,000 scholarship is awarded to "oddball geniuses" in the field of creative writing at Ursinus College. On top of the scholaship, winners get to live in the same dorm that J.D. Salinger lived in.
  27. Patrick Kerr Skateboard Scholarship
  28. This scholarship is awarded to skateboard activists. There is one $5,000 scholarship and three $1,000 scholarships. Applicants must be high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.5.

  30. This $500 scholarship is awarded to skateboard activists. There is one $5,000 scholarship and three $1,000 scholarships. Applicants must be high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
  31. The Frangrance Foundation Scholarship
  32. This whopping $50,000 scholarship is for clinical psychologists completeting post-graduate research in aromachology--the study of the influence of odors on behavior.
  33. Letterman Telecommunications Scholarship
  34. This scholarship is for first-quarter juniors or first-quarter seniors at Ball State University. It is awarded for "creative endeavor" in line with the late-night show host David Letterman. Grades are not a consideration.
  35. Poatato Foundation Scholarships
  36. Washington and Oregon students associated with the potato industry can win this handy scholarship. Students must intend to pursue a two- or four-year degree or technical certification. Applicants pursuing an angriculture-related field are given preference.

  40. This $5,000 scholarship is awarded to 2 vegetarians who have promoted vegetarianism in their schools and/or communities. Applicants must be high school seniors.
