Engine City Technical Institute

Overview
Established in 1969, Engine City Technical Institute is the only school in the country completely devoted to diesel mechanic training. Small classes and personal attention are available along with modern mechanic facilities. The main campus is located in South Plainfield, New Jersey.

Student Appeal
Each class incorporates practical learning and hands-on training for the majority of the program to prepare students for successful entry-level employment with top corporations like Cummins Metropower, FedEx, and NJ Transit. Classes are conveniently scheduled during daytime hours. Graduates earn diplomas and course certificates in Diesel Mechanic Training. All instructors are ASE certified with extensive knowledge and experience in their specialties. Student services include housing location assistance, student employment options, and corporate networking opportunities.

Financial
Qualified students may receive financial assistance through federal loans, grants, and work-study; Sally Mae loans; and alternative sources. Many corporate partners also offer scholarships for outstanding students on the basis of merit and need. Engine City Technical Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Career Schools and Colleges of Technology.
