Overview City University of Seattle first opened in 1973, with the goal of educating students who were not being fully served through traditional means. City University is a private, not-for-profit school. Classes are offered in the day, evening, on weekends, or online in order to allow students to balance their busy lives with their schoolwork. The university has a wide variety of undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs in areas including business, psychology and communications.
