Overview
Career Training Academy™ offers students a variety of programs that include Massage Therapy, Dental Assistant, Medical Assistant, Business Administration and Health Insurance Claims Examiner, among others. The school is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology as well as the State Board of Private Licensed Schools Pennsylvania Department of Education. The curriculum provided at CTA is career-oriented for students wishing to enter the work force immediately after graduation. Current locations are in Monroeville, New Kensington and Pittsburgh.
Student Appeal
Students appreciate the flexible class schedules with evening and daytime classes. At the New Kensington campus, there is also a daycare facility for students with young children. The curriculum at the school includes job search skills and graduates receive job placement assistance. Internships and externships also give hands-on training that makes the transition into the workforce easier. CTA is also adding new programs to expand its appeal to a wider selection of students.
Financial
Students have several options available to them to make their tuition more affordable. Federal programs include the PHEAA Grant, PELL Grand and the Federal PLUS Loan Program, among others. Other qualified students can sign up for scholarships and loans from private organizations, including the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Department of Public Assistance and the Department of Veteran Affairs. Local businesses, churches, service clubs and companies may also be willing to offer financial assistance to students from their local area.

The objective of this course is to instruct students how to conduct proper medical billing and coding in a variety of health offices, including dentists and medical practices. Curriculum is based on specialty practice billing, customer service, insurance claims, processing and more. - Accounting TechnologyAccounting Technology
The curriculum throughout this program includes classes that teach skills in auditing, business ethics, economics, entrepreneurship, spreadsheets and stress management, among many others. Graduates of the program are marketable in a variety of office and business settings. An externship is also included. - Business Administration/Hospitality & TourismBusiness Administration/Hospitality & Tourism
Students desiring careers in the gaming and travel industries benefit from this focused curriculum. The program offers a variety of classes pertaining to this field of study, including Casino and Gaming Operations, Hospitality/Travel/Tourism Law, Hotel Operations and Organizational Behavior, among others. An externship is also available. - Massage TherapistMassage Therapist
The Comprehensive Massage Therapist program provides students with advanced massage courses based on the Therapeutic Massage Technician program. Specialized classes are part of the curriculum, including individual client needs and conditions. - Dental AssistingDental Assisting
This program provides the training needed for today's dental facilities. The curriculum focuses on dental assistant training and radiology in addition to working with the dentist. Available externships give students real world training in an actual dental office. - Medical AssistingMedical Assisting
Courses in this program focus on education and training pertaining to medicine and clinical aspects of being a Medical Assistant. Students practice skills at phlebotomy, EKG training and diagnostic testing training. Graduates are marketable for entry-level positions in the medical field or other health care facility.
