Overview
Founded in 1982, American Institute of Massage Therapy provides holistic education in massage therapy practice and philosophy while preparing students for fulfilling and successful massage careers. Students may graduate with a Certificate in Colon Therapy or a Diploma in Massage Therapy. Campus facilities are located in Pompano Beach, Florida.
Student Appeal
Course curriculum consists of modern theory and methodology and rigorous lab practice in an accelerated seven-month program, yet is designed to accommodate busy adults through flexible day and evening schedules. Students complete 720 hours of hands-on training and are prepared to take the National Certification Exam. Student services include academic counseling, tutoring, and a weekly student publication. Career placement assistance and job bulletin boards are available to all students to help match students with their preferred careers. While no student housing is offered directly, housing information assistance is available through the institution.
Financial
Financial aid is available for qualified students and includes federal loans and grants. Additional payment plans are also offered. American Institute of Massage Therapy is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT).
