Overview
The Academy of Hair Design has two locations in Hazleton and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. This private, 2-year school is a modern facility that prepares students for careers in Cosmetology, Skin Esthetics and Nail Esthetics, and it also offers a Teacher's Course. Graduates are able to enter the workforce directly upon graduation.

The Academy of Hair Design's Cosmetology course prepares students to pass the state Pennsylvania exam. Upon successful completion of the exam, students are granted a Cosmetology license. The cosmetology course trains students in a wide variety of specialties including hairstyling, barbering, and manicuring. - Teacher's CourseTeacher's Course
Students who enroll in the Teacher's Course are trained and prepared to pass Pennsylvania’s instructor exam and license. A cosmetology teacher license will be granted after passing the state board examination. - Skin EstheticsSkin Esthetics
Skin Esthetics is the non medical care of skin. Students trained in this program are prepared with the skills and knowledge they need to work in the field of skin care and makeup. A Pennsylvania cosmetician license will be granted after passing the state board examination. - Nail EstheticsNail Esthetics
Students who graduate from Academy of Hair Design's Nail Esthetics program are fully prepared to work in the world of natural and artificial nail care. A Pennsylvania manicurist license will be granted after passing the state board examination.
